In 1994, by the grace of God, Columba Sanders was ordained to the holy diaconate by Archbishop Gregorios of blessed memory, receiving the name Pancratios, in honour of St Pancratios, the first Bishop of Taormina in Sicily, wonderworker and hieromartyr.

Two years later, in 1996, he was ordained to the holy priesthood, and in 1997 he was entrusted with the pastoral care and spiritual guidance of our parish. Through his faithful service at the holy altar and his dedication to the people of God, he became a true father in Christ to the community.

In recognition of his many years of priestly ministry, Fr Pancratios was elevated to the rank of Protopresbyter in 2009. After decades of labouring in the vineyard of our Lord with humility and love, he entered into a well-deserved retirement in February 2023, leaving behind a legacy of prayer, pastoral care, and devotion to the Church.

Fr Pancratios is visiting our Parish at least once a month (first Sunday of each month) to hear confessions and offer further support to parishioners in need.
