Prayers

O Lord, grant that I may meet the coming day in peace. Help me in all things to rely upon Thy holy will. In every hour of the day, reveal Thy will to me. Bless my dealings with all who surround me. Teach me to treat all that comes to me throughout the day with peace of soul, and with the firm conviction that Thy will governs all. In all my deeds and words, guide my thoughts and feelings. In unforeseen events, let me not forget that all are sent by Thee. Teach me to act firmly and wisely, without embittering or embarrassing others. Give me strength to bear the fatigue of the coming day with all that it shall bring. Direct my will; teach me to pray; pray Thou Thyself in me. Amen.

O Lord our God, if during this day I have sinned, whether in word, deed, or thought, forgive me all, for Thou art good and lovest mankind. Grant me peaceful and undisturbed sleep, and deliver me from all influence and temptation of the evil one. Raise me up again in proper time that I may glorify Thee; for Thou art blessed, with Thine Only-begotten Son and Thine All-holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

O Lord my God, I confess that I have sinned against You in thought, word and deed.

I have also omitted to do what Your holy law requires of me.

But now with repentance and contrition I turn again to Your love and mercy.

I entreat You to forgive me all my transgression and to cleanse me from all my sins.

Lord, fill my heart with the light of Your truth. Strengthen my will by Your grace.

Teach me both to desire and to do only what pleases You. Amen.

Lord. I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof, into the house of my soul. for it is all deserted and in ruins, and You have not in me a fitting place to rest Your head; but since You desire to abide with me. l, trusting in Your compassion, have come to You; bid the doors of my unworthy lips to open, that I may be satisfied with You alone: enter into me to cleanse me from every bodily and spiritual defilement; be You my helper and defender, and count me worthy to stand at Your right hand, through the intercessions and supplications of our all-pure Lady, the Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary, with all the saints who in their generation have been well pleasing You, for Blessed are You to the ages of ages. Amen

Glory to You, our God, glory to You. (x3) I thank You O Lord my God who has granted though unworthy, to receive your All-Pure and Holy Gifts.

May Your Holy Body give profit unto me to everlasting life, and Your Precious Blood unto remission of sins; may this Eucharist be unto me for joy, health and gladness. And at your dreaded second coming, render me, as a sinner, worthy to stand at the right hand of Your Majesty, with Your Eternal Father and Your All-Holy, Good and life giving Spirit, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen

O Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us.
O Lord, cleanse us from our sins.
O Master, pardon our transgressions.
O Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy Name’s sake.

Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy. Lord, have mercy.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen.

It is truly meet to bless you, O Theotokos,
ever-blessed and most pure, and the Mother of our God.
More honorable than the Cherubim,
and more glorious beyond compare than the Seraphim,
without defilement you gave birth to God the Word.
True Theotokos, we magnify you!

Christ our God, bless the food and drink of Thy servants, for Thou art holy, always, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages. Amen.

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.
