About the Divine Liturgy

This is the main Sunday service, usually lasting around an hour and a half to two hours, and includes Holy Communion. Visitors are welcome to stand or sit wherever feels comfortable. Standing, sitting, and moving around the edges of the church during the service are all completely normal. Modest dress is appreciated but nothing is required to attend. Communion itself is reserved for baptized and chrismated Orthodox Christians in good standing; everyone else is warmly invited to receive the blessed bread (antidoron) at the end of the service instead.
