**The Nativity Fast (15 November to 24 December)**

The Nativity Fast is a forty-day period of spiritual preparation for the Feast of the Nativity of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Through fasting, prayer, repentance and acts of charity, we are invited to draw closer to God and prepare our hearts to welcome Christ. Fasting is not simply about abstaining from certain foods, but about growing in humility, love and faith.

Parishioners are encouraged to seek guidance from their Spiritual Father or from Fr John on observing the fast according to their personal circumstances.
